Créé en 2011, I.Skankers Records est né avec le sound system et pour le sound system. L'objectif du label est donc de promouvoir des artistes et dubmakers prometteurs rencontrés au fil des sessions sur la route du sound system. Voulant rester avant tout dans la plus pure tradition, c'est donc en vinyl que le label prendra vie et qu'il diffusera à travers les sessions et les sounds ses vibes et son message militant.

Pour ce premier projet, Dub Foundry, dubmaker français installé en Irlande du Nord, signe un riddim lourd, stepper à souhait où I-Lements, chanteur originaire des îles Saint Martin, et Ranking Fox, originaire du Zimbabwe, viennent poser leur flow unique dans un esprit militant et conscient. Steppin’ Pablo, membre du crew I-Skankers, vient faire chanter son melodica accompagné des percussions de Hypa pour un dub envoutant et mélodieux.
Sur la face B, Dub Foundry laisse parler son inspiration pour une version profonde et meditative inna warrior style !

I.Skankers records is a new french label that aims to promote the reggae artists and dubmakers who they have met over many years within the sound system scene. In a willingness to perpetuate the old tradition, the vinyl is chosen as the main support to release the records and spread the vibes and militant messages during the sessions.
Feel the skanking vibes, wheel it up!
For this first release, Dub Foundry, a french dubmaker based in Northern Ireland, comes with a heavy roots steppers riddim with wicked vocals on both side. I – Lements from France, with his unique flow dedicated to Jah on the A side, and Ranking Fox from Zimbabwe, with a heavyweight soundsystem tune that has already got a lot of attention across the French dub scene.
Steppin' Pablo, from the I.Skankers crew, is also on the melodica in an enchanting version alongside Hypa and his percussions. On the B side, Dub Foundry revisits the riddim in a deep and meditative dub version.
